10% or 100% Allergic

I have been really into the White Stripes lately. I'm almost 100% sure that they're my favorite band. I don't even have their early albums, just Elephant and on. I should go get those, to complete my collection. They just are so amazing. Combining the complexity of Jack's guitar and the simplicity of Meg's drumming I think is what makes them so appealing. They sure are a mystery though. In interviews they said "When we get in front of people, we don't know what's gonna happen. I'll [Jack] play the first note and Meg will know what song it is." They just improvise. I think that's like, a whole other level of professionalism.

Dealing with school, I just completed my project for my computer class over at the college. I was really relieved to get it done. I had no idea how to lay it out and I got kind of frustrated. I prayed that God would help me, and when I sat down today, it all just came to me. That is Awesome, with a capital A! So, I am really happy for that. Also, our Food Science team who won states is going to nationals. The National Convention will take place next week, October 21-25 in Indianapolis. Indy, here we come! We have been practicing for a while, though more probably wouldn't hurt.

An update on Halloween: I have acquired basically all of the necessary garments and gear for the big night. Due to C-Mart closing down, (last day is this Saturday; they're website is actually kind of funny...or pathetic, however you look at it) their sales are crazy and the people are even crazier. The mobs of people that invade that place is nuts. Although the sales are 70%-90% everything in the store, most of the stuff is crappy. I did get a really nice tux jacket for 10 dollars, though, and the jacket I will wear for my Joker costume was $2. Now I need purple dye because the jacket is white.

I hate freaking wishbones! Does anyone else, when you eat a turkey or similar poultry product, dry the wishbone out and then try to break it using just your pinkie and thumb? This is with two people, of course, one at either end of the wishbone. Then, you just pull as hard as you can and see who has the bigger end. The person who wins gets a wish and the loser, gets...a broken bone! Ha ha! Ba-dum, tsss! I have no recollection of ever winning one of these battles and, even after carefully studying the bone, I still end up with the small part. My mom said "I guess I just need more wishes." I suppose that makes sense. Maybe I should be grateful that I don't need a wish. Fate seems to think I am better off without one. And, a wish is just a really high hope, right? It doesn't necessarily have to come to fruition. Perhaps the stuff I would wish for wouldn't get me any further or give me any more of an advantage in life. That puts a fresh spin on not getting what you want.

Edit: Oh yeah! The relevancy of the title has to be worked in. During picking out the food for our team activity, I had the choice of a Juicy Juice juice box or a Minute Maid Cooler pouch. (Touching on that, those Cooler's have a really subliminal message on the pouch where you insert the straw. They might as well just say what they're heavily hinting at, it's that bad.) Of course, Juicy Juice is known for being "100% Juice for 100% Kids" and Minute Maid Cooler's only have 10% juice. We were discussing allergies that kids might have, and what to not include in the lunch pack. So I said "Well, we should use the Cooler because it only has 10% juice. That way, if someone's allergic to fruit, they'll only be 10% allergic to the Minute Maid, but they would be 100% allergic to Juicy Juice." That sounds correct, right? Good, I'm not crazy...

Let that soak in, and I'll speak more later. Sleep Well! Good Night!
